The Hootens have been singing together for over 15 years in different capacities. Donnie's passion for ministering through southern gospel music drives this power-packed ministry, making The Hootens one of the premier gospel ministries in Texas! He is the manager, emcee, promoter and baritone singer. He began a monthly gospel concert series over eight years ago bringing in national groups. Concerts are now held in Shreveport, LA and still going strong.

Currently the group is comprised of Donnie and his two sons, Zachariah and Elijah. Zach is the group's lead singer and Eli is the tenor. Donnie's wife, Angela, and their daughter, Carli, were group members in the past, but now only sing on occasion. The Hootens always have a great time together and consider it an honor to sing for Jesus.
